    Advenio & XLPAT Labs will represent India at this year’s Start Tel Aviv Workshop in Israel
     
    The Embassy of Israel in partnership with TIE Delhi-NCR organized today the “Start Tel Aviv – India Finals”, to find two Indian women founded startups who will travel in September to Israel, together with 22 other startup companies from around the world, to participate in "Start Tel Aviv" event and to be part of one of the biggest, most exciting and innovative festivals in Israel, the DLD Festival.
     
    The  festival, Israel's largest international Hi-tech gathering, will feature hundreds of startups, VC’s, angel investors and leading multinationals. Thousands of interactions are expected to take place in order to create opportunities for up and coming startups and entrepreneurs from around the world in the field of technology.
     
    The Indian winner’s Advenio (Mausumi Acharyya) & XLPAT Labs (Komal Talwar), will travel to Israel and will have the opportunity to meet the smartest and the most innovative companies, techies, startups, designers, artists, scientists, investors, and cultural drivers from Israel and abroad.
     
    This year’s event received many entries from all over India, five them made the cut to the final event. These "Fab Five" were –Advenio, XLPAT LABS, Technology Uncorked, Medimojo, EZspend Prepaid Payment Solutions.
     
    The jury included Gita Dang – Founder Director, Talent Advisory Services; Dev Khare – MD, LightSpeed Venture Partners, India; Rajesh Razdan – Founder CEO, mCarbon Tech Innovations; Gaurav Bhatnagar – MD, Tek Travels and Kalpana Jain – Senior Partner, Deloitte (Moderator).
     
    Start Tel Aviv is a global event held by The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tel Aviv Municipality to bring together startups from different countries to take part in an intense, five-day startup workshops in the heart of Tel Aviv.
     
    Ms. Ditza Froim, Minister Counsellor, Public Diplomacy at the Embassy of Israel said, "this is the first time the competition is focusing on women. We want to bring the female entrepreneurs to the front of the stage to take their rightful place in the startup world."
     
    Israel's Ambassador to India, Mr. Daniel Carmon who awarded the winners stressed the important role that women can and should play in all sectors and noted that his own political team at the embassy is comprised of women. "I take pride in working with these 'diplomatic entrepreneurs' as my very professional and creative partners".
